Beginnings
Creek Childcare was established in 2022 with the hopes of opening multiple centres throughout Southern Ontario. Our first centre being our Welland Location, Hickory Creek, opening in October 2022. We recently opened our second location in Smithville in April 2024.
The names of our centres stem from the most popular tree in the area of the child care centre. We hope that the natural name style of our centres will help portray the natural atmosphere inside.
Mackenzie
Owner/Director
Mackenzie is the Owner and Director of all Creek Childcare Centres.
She began her journey of working in childcare when she attended Brock University for Child and Youth studies. From there she got a taste of working in childcare rooms and decided to obtain her Early Childhood Education from Algonquin College. She quickly pursued her dreams of opening her own centre, with the first being Hickory Creek Welland. Mackenzie has a passion for nature and education and believes the two run parallel with one another.
Mackenzie is also a new mom to a beautiful daughter, Morgan, and keeps her funny farm running with 2 dogs and 12 chickens.
